- For the 16th time in a row, Raiffeisen Centrobank was the overall winner of the Certificates Award Austria
- Investors also decided clearly for RCB in the Best Issuer Info & Service category
- Inflation protection and sustainability as key topics
Vienna – Yesterday evening the 16th annual presentation of the Certificates Awards Austria took place in the Unicredit Center at Kaiserwasser. Once again, Raiffeisen Centrobank (RCB) emerged as the big winner. In addition to being named "Issuer of the Year", there were numerous awards for the company's capital and partial protection certificates. The audience award also went to the local hero.
“In recent years, more and more people have recognized the added value of certificates and made them part of their securities investments. The demand has increased enormously. That is why we are very happy about the overall victory at the Certificates Awards Austria again this year and see it as a great recognition. Expert know-how is required in order to provide tailor-made investment products, especially in a market environment in which people are talking about a “turning point”. This mission guides us,” sums up Heike Arbter, member of the RCB board, with satisfaction.
Scoring with an answer to inflation and sustainability
This year, RCB not only scored particularly well with the award jury, but above all with the investor public with exceptionally modern products. RCB is the only certificate provider that has been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel and thus offers credible sustainable products for a wide range of investors. In addition, the renowned issuer succeeded in bringing an inflation protection product onto the market as part of the well-known Bonus&Sicherheit series.
“It has always been important to us to issue products that add value to people. The dominant topics of our time are inflation and climate protection, here we wanted to have credible answers for responsible investors and we succeeded very well," explains Arbter.
The idea of the inflation bonus and security is not new at RCB but has permanently been part of the issuance program since August 2021. The high demand is high, as evidenced by the significantly increased number of hits on the RCB inflation calculator (www.rcb.at). There was an increase of +30% compared to 2021.
In 2021, RCB developed the RCB sustainability standard according to the principle of sustainable underlying - sustainable issuer - sustainable certificate and thus clearly defined the ESG product range. With an outstanding volume of 1,022 million euros, which is around 24 percent of the total volume of all RCB certificates, the share was increased by an unbelievable 53 percent compared to the beginning of the year.
Successful in many categories
The 22-strong expert jury evaluated the entries from ten issuers operating in Austria. RCB was able to secure top placements in six of the nine award categories. The audience award for the best issuer in the "Info & Service" category also went to RCB. This resulted in the undisputed victory in the overall standings.
The objectivity and independence of the evaluation and coordination process were checked and confirmed by Ernst & Young Austria.
